Recentemente voltei ao Novilho de Ouro, uma churrascaria que frequentei bastante no passado.
Cheguei para almoçar como sempre fazia, não muito tarde, o que acho ideal para um rodízio. Escolhi uma mesa perto do buffet e pedi a bebida.
Parti então para o ataque! Na mesa central estavam disponíveis saladas, frios e alguns pratos quentes. E se o objetivo era avaliar a casa, resolvi abrir o leque de opções começando com bacalhau e com o siri gratinado. Ambos acompanhados de arroz branco.
Confesso que foi a casquinha gratinada, bem douradinha, que puxou como um imã a minha atenção e me enfeitiçou. Parecia ter saído do forno há poucos instantes. Enquanto caminhava orgulhoso para mesa, segurando meu prato com siri e bacalhau, tive a impressão que os aromas estavam brincando de roda a minha volta. ‘Será que todos estão sentindo o aroma que está saindo do meu prato? Decerto que não, ou estariam se amontoando para pegar um pouco também. ’
Desfrutei as duas combinações e fui praticamente obrigado a voltar no buffet para repetir o siri gratinado que estava memorável… Como já escrevi aqui, sou amigo das pimentas e uma pimenta dedo de moça foi a companhia perfeita para este prato.
Vamos ao que interessa. Afinal estamos em uma churrascaria!
Nesta altura, mini pasteis, polenta e batata frita e banana empanada estavam na mesa. Não resisti a um (ou mais…) pastel quentinho de carne. E quem resiste, não é?
O fluxo de garçons era intenso, quase estonteante. Vários espetos indo de lá para cá no salão. Precisei ser um pouco seletivo na escolha das carnes que iria comer. Comi uma fatia de alcatra, um pedaço de fraldinha (tenho uma paixão anunciada por este corte) e uma fatia de picanha. Todas estavam mal passadas, da maneira que eu gosto, e temperadas com a quantidade certa de sal.
Cometeria um pecado gastronômico se não comesse um queijo assado no espeto, que estava no ponto certo e acompanhou bem a picanha.
“ O que o senhor disse? ”
A velocidade que os garçons traziam as opções de carnes era grande, com uma vasta variedade. Mas eu estava seletivo, saboreando lentamente cada pedaço para poder sentir o máximo de seu sabor, textura, temperatura… quando ouvi o garçom dizer: ‘ Carré? ’. Um espeto estava ao meu lado com aquilo que parecia um desfile de miss universo… Sim, vários carrés perfilados, montados no espeto seguindo uma ordem que deixaria qualquer um que é obcecado por organização orgulhoso.
Ainda acho que não fui eu quem escolheu o carré, mas foi ele que me escolheu. Ele se deitou no prato e ficou apenas aguardando a geleia de menta para completar a composição. É provável que pelo meu olhar animado para este corte, o perspicaz garçom, deixou um par de carrés no meu prato (e foi pouco). Aquele eficiente garçom voltou na minha mesa mais de uma vez. Ainda bem!

O Novilho de Ouro tem um preço justo pela qualidade da comida e pelo serviço que oferece (R$59,90 – seg. a sab. / R$69,90 – dom. Crianças de 5 a 9 anos pagam ½ e menores de 5 não pagam). Fiquei positivamente surpreso ao saber que este preço contemplava um buffet de sobremesas. Ai meu Deus!
Comi doce de abobora e banana que gostei bastante, mas a laranja kinkan em compota e a pera no vinho tinto foram os campeões dentre as minhas escolhas.

Foi uma experiência gastronômica agradável e terminei meu almoço satisfeito. Fiquei sinceramente feliz por ter retornado ao Novilho de Ouro e coloco ele na classificação de “Bons Restaurantes para se comer em Guarulhos”. Ficou com vontade de comer lá? Anote aí o endereço deles.
